About Wilshire Park Parent Association (WPPA)

As a parent of Wilshire Park Elementary, you are automatically part of the Wilshire Park Parents Association (WPPA).

WPPA enhances the school experience for every student by encouraging family involvement, building a sense of community, and supporting the school and its staff through volunteering and fundraising.

The WPPA is involved with spirit wear, teacher start-up grants, staff appreciation, yearbook, and a variety of other programming. Without parents and volunteers none of this would be possible.

Feedback for Wilshire Park Parent Association (WPPA)

Please take 5 minutes to fill out a short survey on WPPA events and fundraising for the year. We'd love your feedback on how to make the org better and know how things went this year.

Why donate to WPPA?

Why donate to WPPA? Where does this money go and how is it different from other non-profits in the school district?

Each year, the WPPA supports the Wilshire Park students, teachers, and staff with your efforts. Without you, we cannot do all that we do. Each dollar you give or raise goes to support initiatives such as:

1. Reducing school supplies that families need to purchase at the beginning of the year. This year we reduced the school supplies list by $10,000. YOU HELPED DO THIS!!

2. Teacher start up funds: Each year teachers can use this money to purchase items for their classrooms

3. Small grants: Above and beyond the teacher start up funds, sometimes creative ideas come throughout the year and we help fund those initiatives to support learning

4. Staff Appreciation: We showed some love to our amazing staff and teachers through meals, coffee and drinks, treats, gift cards and more.

Thank you for all you have done! This year we hope to raise a total of $25k through various fundraisers to continue the efforts above. Please consider donating now to help us make creativity in chaos feasible. Thank you!

How to donate

We often have campaigns running through A Mighty Cause for specific needs (e.g. Teacher Appreciation, Fall Fundraiser, etc.). You can always donate via that site. Or, avoid fees and send a check into the school with “WPPA” and something in the note about the cause.

We have various fundraisers throughout the year. From ones that give back to you such as Yearbook and Spirit Wear to events such as Fun Fest and the Art Show and Ice Cream Social to flat out fundraisers such as Apex Fun Run and HundredX Surveys. We keep costs low and give the money back to the school, students, school staff needs, educational experiences, and sometimes building needs.

Don't forget, you can support the WPPA through matching donations at your employer.

Apologies for the confusion, but not much we can do about it other than help you out! See the video below. You basically un-check the image and you no longer need to personalize.
